BASIC MATHEMATICS

This workbook is intended to facilitate the teaching and learning process of Basic Mathematics course. It is specially tailored for students of science, engineering and technology. This module emphasises on examples and exercises that are founded on the basic premise that students should be equipped with a strong and early introduction to advanced mathematics. This module consists seven chapters. This module begins with a chapter on real number, and basic concept of indices and logarithm. The chapters that follow ae the equations and equality, polynomial, sequence and series, matrices, functions and trigonometry. Each chapter has been carefully planned to enable students integrate the underlying theory, solution procedures and computational aspects as seamlessly as possible. Thus, weh have made the efforts to write the module so that the readers can easily understand.
