FUNDAMENTALS OF RIGID BODY DYNAMICS

The module is prepared with the assumption that the student is familiar with Newton’s Law as taught in Malaysian schools. It is also assumed that the student is reasonably conversant with high school algebra, trigonometry, and calculus and that he studied the Dynamics of Particles elsewhere earlier. With these assumptions, the module begins with Vectors, which will form the main mathematical tool throughout the course. This is then followed by various chapters on the Kinematics, and Kinetics of Rigid Bodies.
